Formsense

2018 - 2021 |  UX / UI design

Formsense was a technology startup focused on developing innovative apparel and software powered by motion sensor technology. Its products were designed to provide advanced insights into movement patterns, offering solutions that supported faster recovery from sports-related injuries and mobility challenges—serving both professional athletes and everyday users.

As a freelance UX/UI designer on the development team, I collaborated closely with a project manager and a team of eight developers. My primary contributions included creating high-fidelity prototypes across tablet, mobile, and desktop platforms, ensuring design consistency and usability across devices. Beyond design execution, I played a key role in aligning user experience with business goals, helping the team meet critical quarterly milestones and successfully secure additional rounds of funding.

I collaborated closely with the development team to design user flows tailored to the needs of trainers, athletes, and individual users, ensuring that each audience could easily access and benefit from the platform’s capabilities. Using Figma, I created high-fidelity prototypes for iOS and Android mobile apps as well as responsive desktop and tablet web applications, maintaining a consistent design language across platforms.

As the MVP evolved in parallel with advancements in the motion sensor technology, I continuously adapted and expanded the prototypes to reflect new possibilities. This iterative approach allowed the product to grow in functionality while keeping the user experience intuitive and scalable, ultimately supporting the team’s vision of bridging professional-level performance insights with everyday usability.

In addition to developing a sophisticated prototype for Formsense Pro—a performance and movement analysis platform designed to meet the advanced needs of professional sports teams—I also conceptualized and designed user interface solutions for a complementary “personal trainer” mobile application.

Unlike conventional fitness apps that focus primarily on tracking workouts and offering generic exercise guidance, this concept sought to integrate more advanced functionality by helping individual users identify and monitor potential mobility issues during training. The goal was to create a more holistic digital training experience that not only supported fitness goals but also encouraged preventative care, bridging the gap between everyday fitness tracking and professional-level performance insights.
